AI starts releasing fake albums under real artists' names

On Spotify, an album appeared under the name of jazz pianist Jason Moran, but with music that has nothing to do with him. It turned out that AI simply 'pretended' to be the artist. And more and more such cases are emerging — from jazz to hip-hop, where even Drake has fallen victim.

The problem is that distinguishing fakes is becoming increasingly difficult. Streaming services bring in money, and fake tracks take it away from real musicians. Platforms promise to strengthen protection, but experts say directly: AI has only accelerated the scale of fraud.
