China Sounds Alarm: Humanoid Robot Market Overheating

China's National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) has warned of a potential bubble in the humanoid robotics industry. A rapid influx of investment is funneling capital into over 150 companies producing nearly identical robots, but at the same time crowding out other markets and scientific initiatives.

China is already a leader in humanoid production. Market forecasts are impressive: Morgan Stanley estimates it at over $5 trillion by 2050. The market may soon be flooded with identical robots, threatening either massive job losses or an industry collapse if the technology proves impractical.
