Girl asked ChatGPT for advice — and police arrested her father

In Japan, the daughter of a former Yomiuri Giants coach asked ChatGPT for advice after a family quarrel. The neural network suggested contacting a teen help center, after which the information was automatically forwarded to the police.

When the police arrived at the home and took her father away, the girl burst into tears. Later, she stated that she did not expect such an outcome and considers the situation blown out of proportion. Meanwhile, statistics show that more than half of Japanese teenage girls already ask AI for life advice.
