Not AI That's Firing People: Unexpected Threat Found in Remote Work
While many fear that artificial intelligence will take away jobs from millions of people, fresh data shows a very different picture.
According to Gallup research, only about 1% of laid-off employees linked their job loss to AI. Far more often, the cause was budget cuts and economic difficulties. Moreover, among the recently laid off, employees working fully remotely were notably more common.
😳 But even more interesting: scientists have found that remote work can seriously affect people's psychological state.
While everyone discusses the threat from AI, for some people, ordinary isolation at home may be a much bigger problem.
