Pope demands priests not use AI to write sermons
The head of the Catholic Church, Leo XIV, called on priests not to use ChatGPT for preparing speeches and to “train their own minds.” According to him, faith is not a text template or on-demand generation. A true sermon is born from personal experience and spiritual work, not from an algorithm.
The pontiff also warned about the trap of the digital age: likes and subscribers create a sense of importance but do not replace depth. In a world where AI writes articles, scripts, and even prayers, the question arises—should faith also switch to automation?
