Spotify starts separating real artists from AI — and it's no joke

Now Spotify will have a green 'Verified' badge that shows you're looking at a real artist, not an AI.

Music platforms are literally being flooded with AI-generated tracks, making it harder to tell a live performer from an algorithm. So the service decided to introduce a 'trust mark' — a kind of passport to reality for musicians ✔️

But getting the badge isn't easy: you need real listeners, activity, concerts, and a presence outside the platform. With nearly half of new music already created by AI, the industry is clearly preparing for a new stage.
