TIME Named 'Person of the Year 2025' – and It's... the Creators of Artificial Intelligence

The magazine TIME announced, that the main character of the outgoing year is not a single person, but a whole group—the people behind the development of modern AI. The publication explains its choice as follows: 2025 became the moment when the potential of artificial intelligence was fully revealed and humanity realized that there is no turning back. It is these architects of "thinking machines" who expanded the boundaries of the possible and at the same time inspired—and scared—the whole world

On the cover appeared eight key figures of the industry: Mark Zuckerberg, Lisa Su, Elon Musk, Jensen Huang, Sam Altman, Demis Hassabis, Dario Amodei, and Fei-Fei Li. They were seated on a huge metal beam—a visual reference to the legendary photograph "Lunch atop a Skyscraper" from 1932.

Symbolic: the new "builders" are now constructing the digital era, not skyscrapers
