China deploys AI kiosks for primary medical care

AI kiosks have appeared on the streets of China, dispensing medication without the involvement of doctors. The system recognizes faces, connects to the user's electronic medical record, and uses sensors to measure blood pressure, pulse, temperature, blood oxygen saturation, and other indicators.

The neural network analyzes the data, produces a probable diagnosis, recommendations, and a list of medications, many of which can be purchased directly from the kiosk. The developers claim that diagnostic accuracy reaches 85%, and for complex symptoms, the system directs the patient to a doctor.

The first AI "doctors" are already operating in Beijing and Shanghai. The kiosks are not intended to replace real doctors — they are suitable for mild cases: colds, stress, slightly high blood pressure, headaches.
