In Russia, using AI at work may lead to punishment

A lawyer explained that there is no unified law on the use of AI at work in Russia yet. But companies can set their own rules: some allow and even require employees to use AI, while others prohibit it — with possible penalties up to dismissal.

In case of violation of internal rules, employers have the right to demand compensation for damages caused.

Special attention must be paid to personal data: sharing it for AI processing can become not only an administrative but also a criminal offense. The lawyer advises using AI cautiously and strictly following internal company regulations.
