X5 Tests AI for Staff Recruitment
X5 retail chain (Pyaterochka, Perekrestok) has started using artificial intelligence for hiring. The digital recruiter independently searches for candidates, checks resumes, conducts initial interviews, and provides recommendations to managers.
💻 The first candidate hired through AI was from Penza. Currently, the algorithm fills 20% of vacancies in one department and increases selection accuracy to 85%.
AI communicates with candidates almost like a real person: it holds conversations, evaluates responses, and even uses emojis. The final hiring decision remains with the manager, but AI handles routine tasks. As a result, the hiring process has become twice as fast 📈
