X5 Tests AI for Employee Recruitment
X5 (Pyatyorochka, Perekrestok) has started using artificial intelligence to hire employees. The digital recruiter searches for candidates, checks resumes, conducts initial interviews, and gives recommendations to the manager.
The first candidate "hired" via AI was from Penza. Currently, the algorithm fills 20% of vacancies in one department and improves selection accuracy to 85%.
The AI communicates with candidates almost like a real person: it maintains conversation, evaluates responses, and even uses emojis. The hiring decision remains with the manager, but the AI takes over routine tasks. Thus, the hiring process has become twice as fast
