GPT Image 2.5: comparison with other models

Describe a scene or add a source photo and specify what to change. Check the available quality and compare the result with the source before publishing.

This comparison covers capabilities integrated into Neiron. The table does not declare a winner: choose by your source material and task constraints.

GPT Image 2.5

Creatives; Illustrations; Covers and posters.

  • Resolution: 1K, 2K, 4K
  • Photo references: up to 16

Add source photos and describe the changes you need. A text prompt is enough to create an image from scratch.

An edit may change details you asked to preserve. Compare faces, product shape, and lettering with the source.

Nano Banana

Post illustration; Photo-based portrait variation; A product in a new setting.

  • Photo references: up to 5

Useful for quick drafts before heavier modes.

A reference guides generation rather than providing an exact copy. Check the person’s likeness and product details before using the image.

Nano Banana Pro

Poster with short lettering; Website banner; Product composition.

  • Resolution: 1K, 2K, 4K
  • Photo references: up to 5

Choose Pro when the final asset will be used publicly.

Selecting 4K sets the output size but does not guarantee accurate lettering or preservation of every detail. Inspect small text and labels separately.

External ratings: variant and date

These are Arena participant preferences, not a Neiron test. Text generation of images and image editing have separate tables; their scores cannot be added. Each result identifies its tested variant and settings.

How to check your own task

Write down your requirements and check each output against them. Do not confuse a model difference with different prompts, resolutions, or inputs. The examples below are test briefs, not results of tests we have run.

Use the product from the attached photo. Change the background to light gray and add a soft shadow beneath it. Keep its shape, color, details and included parts. Do not add packaging, lettering or other products.

Nano Banana

Replace the background with a bright room and a plain wall. Keep the face, hair, clothes and head position as in the photo. Do not add jewelry or change the age. Keep natural skin texture.

Nano Banana Pro

Make a light instruction card titled “Pack your bag”. Three blocks from left to right: “Water”, “Documents”, “Charger”. One simple illustration per block. Use only those four labels, in large plain lettering.
