AI has started to surpass doctors in emergency diagnostics — and it's no longer science fiction
In a new Harvard study, AI demonstrated higher accuracy than doctors in emergency care settings. Scientists note: this is not about tests, but real clinical scenarios where every minute can be a matter of life and death.
When patients arrived at the emergency department, AI correctly diagnosed 67% of cases, while doctors only achieved 50–55%. With more detailed data, accuracy reached 82%, and in tasks involving treatment plans, AI also significantly outperformed humans 🤯
At the same time, experts emphasize: AI does not see the patient, does not assess appearance or condition, and works only with data. But a new model of medicine is already emerging — doctor + patient + AI.
