AI Began Creating DNA That Never Existed in Nature

Scientists at the Arc Institute in California trained AI on a vast amount of genetic data — essentially on the "texts" of DNA from different organisms. After training, the system was able to generate new genome sequences, inspired by bacteria, yeast, and even human DNA

The most surprising thing is that these genomes never existed in nature.

Computer verification showed that roughly 70% of the created genes look like real ones. While this is not enough to create a living cell yet, scientists believe that such technologies could change biology: in the future, life could not only be studied but literally designed.
