China Sounds Alarm: Humanoid Robot Market Overheating
China's National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) has warned of a potential bubble in the humanoid robotics industry. A rapid influx of investment is channeling capital to over 150 companies producing nearly identical robots, while simultaneously crowding out other markets and scientific initiatives.
🤖 China already leads in humanoid production. Market forecasts are impressive: Morgan Stanley estimates it at over $5 trillion by 2050. Soon, the market could be flooded with identical robots, threatening either mass job losses or an industry collapse if the technology proves impractical.
