Moreno Used ChatGPT When Working with Sochi Football Players
Former Sochi coach Roberto Moreno admitted to using ChatGPT… but not for tactics. Before a match against Khabarovsk SKA, Moreno built a preparation plan based on AI recommendations — football players were supposed to stay awake for 28 hours straight. Even the selection of a player for a contract was advised by AI, but the player didn't perform.
💻 Moreno himself explains: all sports decisions were made personally by him and the staff. ChatGPT only helped with routine tasks and the training app. But Sochi's 1-0 victory in Khabarovsk showed that humans still decide the outcome of the game.
“AI does not feel, does not support the team, and does not make emotional decisions,” the coach emphasized.
