Thailand Police in Scandal Over Fake AI Photo
An unusual photo went viral on social media and global news: Thai police officers in shiny dresses and feathers allegedly apprehended a criminal undercover. The image looked so absurd and striking that major publications worldwide published it.
But soon it turned out: the photo was completely AI-generated. In the original image, the officers were in ordinary clothes. It turned out that the administrator of the police page deliberately created an AI version to show a 'more friendly and fun image' of law enforcement.
