Claude developer sues Pentagon

Anthropic, the company behind the AI model Claude, filed a lawsuit against the US Department of Defense after it was officially labeled a 'supply chain threat.'

Federal agencies will effectively be banned from working with Claude, and contractors risk losing cooperation with the Pentagon.

The conflict stems from disagreements over how AI should be used in military projects. Anthropic refused to relax restrictions on the use of its Claude model, after which the Trump administration banned all federal agencies from using this AI.
