Andrew Garfield spoke candidly about filming 'Artificial,' where he played OpenAI CEO Sam Altman.

According to the actor, after wrapping he felt mostly relief: 'Thank God it's over.' To understand the character, he studied the script, court documents, interviews, and other materials.

The film recounts the events of November 2023, when OpenAI's board of directors suddenly fired Altman, and the company teetered on the brink of a serious crisis.

The project itself also went through drama: Amazon MGM dropped the film just before production wrapped, after which Neon acquired the rights. The premiere date has not been announced yet.
