Grammy winner Warren "Oak" Felder has sued a Silicon Valley couple, alleging they appropriated an AI he developed for creating music.

According to the musician, together with a partner, they came up with a system that not only generates tracks but also checks them for copyright infringement 🎵

After the patent was transferred, the project unexpectedly ended up in a new company, which soon signed multi-million dollar deals with Universal Music and Sony Music. The authors themselves, as stated in the lawsuit, received neither money nor rights to their own development. Now they are demanding the patent be returned and over $5 million in compensation. ⚖️
