George R. R. Martin and a group of writers have won a case against OpenAI. The court found that ChatGPT creates texts that are 'substantially similar' to the original books.

The judge noted that the AI doesn't just draw inspiration but repeats the style, atmosphere, and even plot lines of the 'A Song of Ice and Fire' novels. Now authors could receive up to $150,000 for each generated fragment.

It seems ChatGPT really watched 'Game of Thrones' too closely.
